ADULT INTRO TO WEAVING

Participants will learn basic plain weave and twill patterns on a floor loom. Dressing the loom and beginning to weave will take place on Saturday. On Sunday we will cover tapestry techniques and weft combinations to weave through samples to finish and take home by the end of the day. Alternative fiber yarns are available to highlight play between structure, material, and color as weavers rotate through pattern and technique combinations.

This introductory course is the basis for later weaving classes- have a project in mind? Bring your ideas and we can plan future classes as you get the hang of it during intro!

Note: Please eat before weaving class! Clean snacks are welcome for the hangry among us.
